Literature Text
From China's people'd farms and towns
To the dark-Dnieper flowing broad,
A tramp and growl of war resounds
And planes sail o'er children awe'd.
For distant Russia stirs from sleep
And clears the snow about her head.
Now awake from dreaming deep
To build a wall with Western dead.
For common man with no fear or sloth
Let out a message high and bold;
To join with Europe's peaceful oath
And break the Russian stranglehold.
Fair Europe girds her children well
To stand with sons of Cossack men
And send the Russian down to hell
And face down Barbarous hordes again.
For we in Europe long abide
And fight in Western brotherhood
Against the cruel eastern tide
Where once the lauded Teuton stood.
To the dark-Dnieper flowing broad,
A tramp and growl of war resounds
And planes sail o'er children awe'd.
For distant Russia stirs from sleep
And clears the snow about her head.
Now awake from dreaming deep
To build a wall with Western dead.
For common man with no fear or sloth
Let out a message high and bold;
To join with Europe's peaceful oath
And break the Russian stranglehold.
Fair Europe girds her children well
To stand with sons of Cossack men
And send the Russian down to hell
And face down Barbarous hordes again.
For we in Europe long abide
And fight in Western brotherhood
Against the cruel eastern tide
Where once the lauded Teuton stood.

Girl in the Glass
I hate this girl
With the sneer on her lips
Her fingers knotted in her pretty hair
Her eyes are wild
Manic, sadistic
She's so curvy it's almost sad
She can't hold down a diet
She's hideous
And stupid
She keeps yanking down her sleeves to cover those pathetic scars
Her eyes are droppy
Her legs too wide
Ink stains on her finger tips
And pentagram's drawn on her sneakers
She has a silver ring and leather coat
She's so desperate to worm into some else's skin
I don't want to hate her but I do
Who is this, stupid bitch who's smiling like she doesn't have a clue?
Putting on a brave face? Ready to face her accuser?
He's waiting in the car
Literature
I loved a girl.
i loved a girl.
i loved a girl with a love
for cummings & sandburg
& sexton.
i loved an unflinching
poet of a girl.
& with no better diction:
they called the shaking fists
at her sides, her silent act
of pacifism, cowardice.
i’m the coward;
she bled for the both of us.
Literature
sunday girl
i watch you shuffle through the kitchen
and i can feel my fingers softening
and my mind crashing but there are so many
things i want to scream at you, like:
how on earth did you learn to love me
when there are continents forming between my ankles,
when i'm stuck in the middle of a road and there's
a car coming right for me and i just stand and wait,
and how on earth could anyone
have so many freckles between their shoulder blades and
why is it that when you nestle your stupid head into
the spaces between my ribs all i can say is
that your hair smells like September 25th, 2012,
or how your eyes look like pages of an atlas
and that i want

Once an alliance of British, French and Turk once stood against the Russians in the Ukraine. From 1853-1856, the grey clay of Ukraine was wet by the lifeblood of Irishmen, Englishmen, Frenchmen, Turks and Russians. Now, the Russian armies assail the Ukraine and perhaps once more, we must take up the sword and fight for our Eastern brethren. At Balaclava we humiliated the minions of the Tsar and now we must do the same to Putin's loyal lapdogs.
